Our Story


Situated on the Iconic Gold Coast of Queensland Australia, Quality Gourmet create and produce over 30 speciality Gluten Free Sauces & Dips that transform ordinary dishes into exceptional ones without fuss. The quality of our products are second to none and we supply all facets of the Hospitality Industry from speciality grocers, wholesalers, hotels, cafes, caterers and gourmet markets to members of the general public.

Where possible we endeavour to utilise locally sourced Australian produce and we personally make all of our products in small batches to optimise quality and taste.

Our unique, innovative products are made to European traditions with all our mayonnaises, mustards and dips sweetened with honey and free of any artificial preservatives. We only use Australian cholesterol free NON-GM oils.

Quality Gourmet recognises reputation is paramount in the food industry and we pride ourselves on total customer satisfaction.

Quality Gourmet has full H.A.C.C.P accreditation and observes all the strictest Health and Safety regulations. With over 40 years experience in the Food Industry our hands on approach to the production process enables us to produce high end products at a price point significantly lower than our competitors.

Paul van der Breggen (Owner-Saucier)

Paul van der Breggen and his daughter Pascale Katene lovingly create and produce Gluten Free Sauces and Dips from their factory on the Gold Coast.

After selling the family catering business Paul arrived in Australia in 1993 seeking a new adventure and challenge. He found that with his sister Roza helping her establish her fledgling sauce business.

Trained and specialising in the manufacture of mayonnaises and sauces, Paul worked with Roza until her sudden untimely death in 2001.

With Roza’s husband Bill and daughter Jasmin unable to continue the manufacturing process, Paul established the current factory on the Gold Coast soon after to primarily manufacture all his families (Roza’s) sauce requirements. This arrangement ceased in 2010 and the Quality Gourmet Label was introduced to the market as its own brand in 2011.

Pascale (Paul’s daughter) joined Quality Gourmet in 2007 and has been trained to manufacture all products to the same high standards.

Involved in the hospitality industry her entire working life, Pascale is also actively involved in all facets of the business, and is often at Farmers Markets around the Brisbane and Gold Coast areas. Her enthusiasm and passion for food is evident as she strives to continually improve and produce the best tasting sauces in Australia.
